Michael Giorgio lives in Waukesha, with his wife, author Kathie Giorgio, and daughter Olivia. His second mystery novel, The Misery Chiselers, a follow-up to 2014’s Justice Comes Home (both from Black Rose Writing) debuted in November.His short fiction has appeared in The Strand (the original home of Sherlock Holmes), Mammoth Book of Tales from the Road, Tales from the Cash Register, Who Died in Here? Mystery Time and many other magazines and anthologies and has been nominated for the Short Mystery Fiction Society’s Dagger Award and the Micro Award for flash fiction. He has also had audio drama produced in Newark (where he was honored as the first winner of the annual Friends of Old Time Radio scriptwriting competition), Pasadena, San Francisco, Michigan, and Tennessee, and rebroadcast in the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand. His nonfiction and poetry have appeared in Indy’s Child: Indiana’s Parenting Magazine, The Ampersand Review, The Externalist and more. In addition to writing, Giorgio is a creative writing instructor for AllWriters’ Workplace and Workshop, both in their Waukesha studio and online, and is a member of the Mystery Writers of America.
